UP: Yogi Sarkar will forgive farmers’ debt since August 17

Lucknow: From next week, the letter of good news to the farmers of Uttar Pradesh will start reaching. UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will give loan waiver certificates to farmers in Lucknow on August 17. PM Narendra Modi promised to forgive the farmers’ debt during UP assembly elections.

 





Yogi Sarkar had decided to forgive farmers’ crop loan in the first meeting of the cabinet. However, this facility will be available only to small and marginal farmers, who have five acre farming land and have taken loans upto a lakh rupees. There are 86 lakh farmers in UP.

The UP government needs 36 thousand crores to waive the debts of the farmers, but when the information was received from the banks, the figure remained close to 34 thousand crores.
If the CM Yogi certificates himself to the farmers in Lucknow, the minister in charge in the remaining 74 districts will do the same.
