On occasion of Independence Day, we will grant medical visa in all bonafide cases from Pakistan: Sushma Swaraj

On the 71st Independence Day of India, the Indian Foreign Ministry has given special gifts to those Pakistanis who were unable to get treatment due to non-medical visa. On Tuesday, Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj tweeted and informed that in all reasonable cases pending with India, medical people will be given a visa to the people of Pakistan.

External Affairs Minister wrote, “On the auspicious occasion of Independence Day, medical visas will be given to all the needy Pakistani people.” Earlier, Sushma Swaraj had given medical visa to a Pakistani girl, Faiza Tanveer,who is suffering from cancer . who had pleaded for help from Sushma while congratulating her on Independence Day.

In the case of Faiza last month, Sushma had told Sarataj Aziz, advisor to the Pakistani Prime Minister’s Foreign Affairs, Sushma had said on the issue of medical visa by tweeting one after another, that hopefully Sartaj Aziz will be having some pain for his countrymen. Sushma had written that there is no problem with Pakistani nationals coming to India, just for a medical visa, a letter of aziz is required.

A letter of recommendation by Pakistan Foreign Affairs Advisor Sartaj Aziz will enable a Pakistani national to get a medical visa for India,” the MEA had announced in May.
