BEA condemns the attack on media personnel over Ram Rahim Verdict

New Delhi: The Broadcasters Editors Association (BEA) has condemned the attack on the media of the Dera supporters today. BEA has said that it condemns attacks on the media, demanding that the safety of the media workers should be ensured. In a democracy, no one should be allowed to take law into the hands. The media has the duty to help democracy to run smoothly and prevent such attacks from fulfilling the media’s duty.

BEA President Sudhir Prasad and General Secretary have clearly said that the Punjab and Haryana government must ensure the security of the media personnel. People of the media should get the freedom to report the event with complete independence. The central government should also intervene in this matter and give an atmosphere of showing complete and unbiased coverage of all media groups.
