The Indian hockey team did their job amidst the title trophy of the Champions Trophy in London’s Oval. He defeated his traditional rival Pakistan 7-1 in the Lee Valley Center. This is India’s biggest victory over Pakistan. Earlier, India had defeated him 7-4 twice. India has won the third consecutive win in the Hockey World League semi-final (World Cup qualifiers). Earlier, it beat Canada 3-0 and Scotland 4-1.

In this match of the tournament in London, Talwinder Singh, Harmanpreet Singh and Akshdeep Singh scored 2-2 goals from India. In the 21st and 24th minute of the day, Talwinder converted Harmanpreet into the 13th and 33rd minute while Akshdeep Singh scored in 47th and 59th minute. In the Hockey World League semi-finals (2018 hockey World Cup qualifiers), India and Pakistan are in the same Pool-B. Apart from them, there are teams from Netherlands, Scotland and Canada in this pool. India will now face the Netherlands on 20th June.

This will be followed by the quarterfinal 22, semi-final 24 and the final on June 25. On the other hand, the second semi-final of the Hockey World League will be held in Johannesburg from July 8-23 and in the final of December 1-10 in Bhubaneswar.

These semi-finals of the competition are also the qualifiers of the 2018 World Cup hockey. In addition to the top 10 teams in the World Cup, hosts and five continental champion teams will participate. India is host to next year’s World Cup hockey (November 24 to December 16, 2018).
