Kidambi Srikanth became the first Indian to win #IndonesiaOpen Super Series

Jakarta: India’s top male badminton player Kidambi Srikanth has won the Indonesian Open on Sunday. He has become the first male player of India to win this title.

World’s 22nd-ranked Srikanth achieved a historic breakthrough after defeating Kajumasa Sakai of Japan in the final match played on Sunday.

Keeping in mind that Srikanth won the contest for 37 minutes by 21-11, 21-19. Srikanth had entered the final on Saturday by defeating world number one player South Korea’s Son Van Ho. At the same time, Kashimasa Sakai had made the place in the final by defeating India’s own prannoy.

Significantly, 24-year-old Srikanth appeared in full color from the start and made an edge in the game on the rival player already. He won the first game 21-11. In the second game, Sakaai came back and tried to dominate in the beginning.
