bihar cm nitish kumar say :- ganga can never be clean without desilting,

    New Delhi: Chief Minister of Bihar, JD (U) National President Nitish Kumar today said that the Ganges river can not be cleared till its flow is uninterrupted and it can happen only when the Center creates cleanliness desilting policy. With the Narendra Modi government putting the cleaning of the river in priority, Nitish Kumar said that due to the accumulation of the silt, its natural flow has stopped, due to which the floods arise and it is mandatory to remove it for its revival.

    Chief Minister Nitish Kumar was speaking in a program. Which includes former environment minister and Congress leader Jairam Ramesh and environmental conservationists. Nitish Kumar reiterating the demand to remove the Farakka dam from the center, said that due to this, lot of silt is deposited in the river due to which Bihar has to face floods. The poor state like Bihar has had to spend more than Rs 1058 crores in taking precautionary measures in the last five years.
