Naval warship INS Sharada, stationed for piracy campaign in the Gulf of Aden, received a message from MV Lord Mountbatten on Tuesday at around 4:45 pm, in which the rescue was requested.
After reaching the vessel, the naval marcos commandos launched a campaign with the help of a helicopter stationed on the battleship. This Navy campaign was against two types of five small boats. Seeing the Indian battleship, three boats escaped from there.
Naval spokesman Capt DK Sharma said that Indian vessel got information about the attempt of robbery. The warship Sharda fiercely tried the piracy’s attempt while taking immediate action. An automated clashnikov rifle and magazines were recovered from a small boat of pirates.
