Among the deadlock on the tripel talaq, Vice President of All India Muslim Law Board Dr. Saeed Sadiq has made a big announcement. Sadiq has announced that he will finish tripel talaq within 18 months. However, he also filed objections to the government’s intervention on the issue of three divorces and said that there is no need to intervene in this matter.
Remind you that the All India Muslim Law Board had recently claimed that it has received about three and a half million Muslim women in favor of Sharia and three divorces. Now this statement of the Muslim Law Board is quite surprising.
Asma Jeehara, the chief organizer of the women wing of the All India Muslim Law Board, also conceded that the board had received 3.50 crore forms of Muslim women supporting Sharia and three divorces. According to Asma, the count of Muslim women who have opposed three divorces and Sharia in the country is very small. Asma said that speaking three times together is a social issue, not a religious one. The issue of unnecessary divorce is being targeted for the past few years.
Hearing in Supreme Court from May 11
Let me also tell you that from May 11, the Supreme Court will hear the petitions challenging the Muslim traditions like divorce, marriage, marriage and polygamy.
Muslim organizations like All India Muslim Personal Law Board have strongly protested against this issue. According to the Muslim Law Board, these traditions have come from the holy scripture, which is why the court can not interfere in it because these traditions do not come under the purview of the justice system.
