Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma overwhelm sloppy Sri Lanka, put India on top,Srilanka 21/1 In second inning

The second match of the 3-match Test series between Team India and Sri Lanka is being played at the VCA Stadium in Nagpur. In response to Sri Lanka’s first innings score of 205, Team India declared an innings by 610 runs and gained a huge lead of 405 runs, after which Sri Lanka’s team went on to bat in the second innings losing 1 wicket till the end of the third day. Taxes are for 21 runs. Dimut Karunaratne (11) and Lahiru Thirimane (9) are on the crease. Earlier, four batsmen scored centuries from India. Captain Virat Kohli scored 213 runs. Cheteshwar Pujara scored 143, Murali Vijay 128 and Rohit Sharma scored an unbeaten 102 runs and reached 610.




Team India wickets

India lost their first wicket in the form of Lokesh Rahul (7) on the first day when he was bowled on the ball of Lahiru . On the second day, Murali Vijay (128) India lost their second wicket. On the third day India started playing ahead of 312/2.

The third blow to the hosts was as Cheteshwar Pujara (143). Dasun Shanaaka bowled in 124.5 overs. The fourth wicket dropped as Ajinkya Rahane (2). In 129.4 overs he was caught by Dimuth Karunaratne on Dilruwan Perera’s ball. Virat Kohli (213) as India’s fifth wicket dropped. He was caught by Dilruwan Perera in the 169.5 overs for Thirimanne. R. Ashwin (5) as the sixth wicket was out, when Perera made them bold in 173.5 overs.
