USA designates hizbul mujahideen as a foreign terrorist organisation

Washington: After two months of declaring terrorist Syed Salahuddin as an International Terrorist, the US today announced its organization, Hizbul Mujahideen, in Kashmir, a foreign terrorist group. In the recent months in Kashmir, the US has made this decision in the backdrop of Hizbul’s growing terrorist activities. After being declared a terrorist group, there will be a number of restrictions from the US side.

The US Ministery of External Affairs said, “Hizbul Mujahideen has been declared a terrorist group under the efforts to curb the resources used in the terrorist attack. “After this decision, all the property of Hizbul and its interests related to the rights of the US will be banned. No person in the US will be able to do any kind of transaction with this group. The US decision is a major setback for Pakistan, which has been presenting this group as the voice of Kashmiri people.

Pakistan Army Chief General Kamar Javed Bajwa and former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had praised the commander of Hizbull Burhan Wani many times. Burhan was killed in an encounter with security forces in Kashmir in July last year. Hizbul formed in 1989 and is one of the oldest and largest terrorist organizations active in Jammu and Kashmir. Hizbul Mujahideen has taken responsibility for the many terrorist attacks in Jammu and Kashmir.

The US External Affairs Department said that due to the declaration related to terrorism, the organization and the person are exposed and are isolated. At the same time, their access to the American financial system ceases. This step helps the law enforcement agencies of America and other governments.
