US Open: Rafael Nadal reached second round, defeat Serbia player Dusan

New York: Top seeded tennis player Rafael Nadal has started positively, entering the second round of the fourth and final Grand Slam tournament of the year America Open. According to the BBC report, in the first round of the men’s singles, Nadal beat Dusan Lajovic. In the match at the Arctur Ashes Stadium due to rain, Spain’s star player Nadal defeated Lajovic 7-6 (8-6), 6-2, 6-2.



In the second round, Nadal will face Japan’s Taro Daniel or one of the US’s Tommy Paul. In one of his statements after the match, Nadal said, “In the beginning I was trying to control the number of points. After the difficulties in the first set, I easily won in the second and third sets, the first round is never easy. Because you feel a bit nervous, though all the matches after that are fantastic.

Kerber out in first round of US Open
The current winner, Angelique Kerber of Germany, was subjected to a reversal in the first round of the women’s singles category of the US Open, fourth and last Grand Slam tournament of the year. Japanese Nozomi Osaka beat Kerber by 6-3, 6-1.
