us approves sale of 22 guardian drones to india before Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Washington

The US has approved the sale of 22 Guardian drones to India. This is the first such deal that America has with a non-NATO member country. Before Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Washington, this deal is being considered as very important in terms of bilateral relations. During this visit, Modi will be the first meeting of US President Donald Trump.

Sources said that the Ministry of External Affairs has conveyed to the Government of India and the Manufacturing Company about this decision. The deal is expected to be between $ 2-3 billion or $ 130 billion to 194 billion.

“It is a sign of the fact that much of the result is more oriented with regards to the relationship between India and the Trump Administration than the Obama Administration.”

It is believed that this deal will further strengthen the Indo-US relationship as it will give India the status of ‘Major Defense Partner’ given by America. Remind you that the Obama administration had decided to grant India the status of ‘Major Defense Partner’, later it was approved by the American Parliament.

Let us tell you that the Indian Navy had last year urged for the most used drone to monitor intelligence and recruit enemies.
