Tourism minister KJ Alphons justifies fuel price hike, says ‘who has a car or bike is not starving’

Union Minister of State for Tourism KJ Alphonas has justified the unbridled prices of petrol and diesel. Alfons said that people who buy petrol and diesel are not dying of hunger. The money from petroleum products will be spent in the welfare of the poor, and the government has taken this decision in line with the thought.

He said that those who are buying petrol and diesel will have to pay tax. Who buys petrol? Who has cars and bikes, he buys petrol and diesel and he is not starving. Those who can afford it will have to pay tax.

Minister of Tourism said that we have imposed tax so that poor people of the country can get a better life. They got toilet facilities, accommodation. Whatever the money is being collected from petroleum products, our prime minister or minister is not stealing it. The government has taken this decision after consideration.

Modi government for the poor

He said that government policies are quite simple and clear. These governments are for the poor. It is our intention to build houses for them, to provide electricity toilet, school for every village. It requires a lot of money and we are going to get tax on people who can afford it.
