27 lakh seats are lying vacant in engineering institutions running across the country. In view of this, the All India Council for Technical Education i.e. AICTE had decided that 800 colleges would be closed from the next academic session.

AICTE has made the list of these colleges public. Now the colleges have been told that they submit their report to the second week of September.




Colleges having less than 30% admissions in the last five years will either be closed or merged with other colleges.

Since then, all were intending to know when the government will issue a list of these colleges. Now this list has come which colleges will be closed this year, you also see them-
