Patna: Due to the continuous heavy rains in neighboring Nepal and Bihar, so far 304 people have died due to floods in Bihar. At the same time, due to flood, the population of 1crore 38 lakh 50 thousand in the 18 districts of the state has affected .

According to information received from the Department of Disaster Management, the sudden floods caused due to heavy rains in neighboring Nepal and Bihar have revealed that 304 people died due to the flood and one crore 38 lakh population of 18 districts has been affected.

Please tell the flood affected region of 18 districts of Kishanganj, Araria, Purnia, Katihar, East Champaran, West Champaran, Darbhanga, Madhubani, Muzaffarpur, Sitamarhi, Sheohar, Samastipur, Gopalganj, Saran, Supaul, Madhepura, Saharsa and Khagaria. 34 to 71 people, Sitamarhi in Araria, 22, 26, Madhubani 29, Katihar in West Champaran, 11, 13, Kishanganj 15, Supaul in East Champaran and Darbhanga 19-19, 9-9 in Purnia and Gopalganj Muzaffarpur 7, were killed in flood.




With 1152 soldiers and 118 votes of 28 teams of NDRF, 16 teams of SDRF are involved in rescue and relief work with 446 soldiers and 92 votes and 7 columns of Army with 630 soldiers and 70 boat.

It is being done at the war-footing by the state government to remove the people in the flood. So far, 734512 people have been evacuated from flood affected areas to safe place and 327156 persons have been taken refuge in 1346 relief camps.

Also, community kitchens are being run for those affected people who are not staying in relief camps. In this way total 2219 community kitchens are being run in which 481005 people are being fed food.
