Rohingya militants say ceasefire to end on Oct 9 but ready to government peace deal if offered

Yangon: Rohingya militants on Saturday said that their one-month ceasefire will end in two days but if the Myanmar government is prepared for peace, then they are ready for it. Following the attack by these insurgents, Myanmar’s army had started its operations in the province of Definition, after which Rohingya migrated as a refugee in a large number.

The Arakan Rohingya Salvation Army (ARSA) said on its twitter account that its one-sided ceasefire will end on midnight of October 9th. He said in the statement, “The human sensitivity has been kept in mind, so that human society can evaluate the human crisis in Arakan (laid down) and take necessary action.”

The organization, using the old name of the Myanmar government, said, “At any stage if the government of Burma is ready for peace then the ARSA will welcome that stance. “There is no threat of new violence in the statement.

This armed organization had attacked 25 posts in the police posts, after which the region was stuck in crisis. The military’s revenge action was so strong that the United Nations even said that it is probably like the racial slaughter of Muslim minorities. More than five lakh Rohingya have gone to Bangladesh for six weeks.
