Pradyumna Murder Case: CBI start probe,Registered first FIR , father raised questions on delay

New Delhi: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Friday began its probe into the killing of Gurgaon schoolboy Pradyuman Thakur and registered an FIR in the matter. On Friday morning, Praduman’s father Varun Thakur had said that if the CBI does not take the case in his own hands, then he will go to the Supreme Court on Monday.

Earlier, sources said a notification from the central government was received and an FIR was to be registered shortly.

Pradhuman, a Class 2 student, was found dead in a school toilet with his throat slit on September 8.

A school bus conductor was arrested the same day for allegedly killing the child.

Before this, Praduman’s father Thakur said on Friday, ‘It took seven days to tell us that the CBI investigation has started in the case. I sent a request to PMO and Home Minister through a mail and social media post in this context. Then it is to be told that the CBI is starting the process of investigation. Thakur said, “I have also sent a letter to External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, perhaps as a mother, she can understand my pain.”




Meanwhile, Pradhuman’s father Barun Thakur today told a press conference here that he had appealed to the top leaders of the country to expedite the CBI inquiry into the “sensitive matter”.

Thakur’s lawyer alleged that the CBI inquiry had not yet started despite the Haryana government recommending it.

On Friday, the Haryana government handed over the sensational murder of Class II student Pradyuman Thakur at Gurugram’s Ryan International School to Central Bureau of Investigation.

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar made the announcement after he met the victim’s parents at their residence. He further announced that Haryana government will take over the management of the school for next three months.
