Not right time to make biopic on A.R. Rahman, says Imtiaz Ali

Mumbai: Filmmaker Imtiaz Ali, who worked with Oscar-winning composer A.R. Rahman in ‘Rockstar’, ‘Highway’ and ‘Tamasha’, said that he believes that a biopic should be made on the life of the legendary composer but now It’s not the right time for this.

Imtiaz was present on Thursday for the premiere of ‘One Heart: A.R. Rahman Concert Film’.

During this, when Imtiaz was asked whether Rahman should be made a biopic, he said, “Of course, I think Rahman should be a biopic on the head but I do not think it’s the right time to make a film on him.”

He said, “It can start a research on this, but it should be made later on. He is very young and he has not reached even till the middle of his career. ”

Rahman has completed 25 years in the music industry.

After a mixed response on ‘When Harry Mate Sejal’, what is his future plan now, Imtiaz said on this, “I am writing new stories. I am trying to find out what’s good because, as always, I choose the same scriptures with which I can judge. “
