Modi will join the centenary celebrations of Patna University, Shatrughna will not take part

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend the centenary year celebrations of Patna University on Saturday. On this occasion Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Governor Satpal Malik and Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi will also be present. Among the Union Ministers, Ram Vilas Paswan, Ravi Shankar Prasad, Upendra Kushwaha and Ashwini Kumar Choube are also attending the function.

According to Patna University Vice-Chancellor Ras Bihari Prasad Singh, all preparations have been done for the ceremony. The Prime Minister coming to attend the ceremony will be the main attraction. The Prime Minister, the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister will convey the information to the people present with their views.

However, this festival is not untouched by the controversy. BJP leader and BJP MP from Patna Sahib Lok Sabha seat Shatrughan Sinha says that despite being a local MP, he did not get an invite for the festival, due to which he is hurt. At the same time Patna University vice-chancellor says that Shatrughan Sinha has also been invited to the program.




Lalu Prasad, chief of Rashtriya Janata Dal will not take part in this despite getting the invitation for the celebration. Lalu, his wife Rabri Devi and son Tejashvi Yadav have been in Delhi for a week. They are facing the questions of the Enforcement Directorate (ED), Income Tax Department and CBI almost every day.

According to the Prime Minister’s program, they will remain in Patna for about four and a half hours on Saturday. They will reach Patna Airport at 10.40 in the morning. From there, Prime Minister will reach the Science College through helicopter, where the University will be the main event of centenary celebrations.

According to the protocol approved by the PMO, Prime Minister will have a place to sit for the main stage 10 special guests, including Governor Satyapal Malik, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi, Bihar Education Minister KN Verma, Union Minister Ram Vilas Paswan, R. Vishankar. Prasad, Ashwini Chaubai, Upendra Kushwaha, Satyapal Singh and VC Ras Bihari Prasad Singh.
