Mann Ki Baat LIVE: Violence is not acceptable in any form, says PM Narendra Modi, here live streaming

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is addressing the nation on Sunday through his monthly radio programme,‘Mann Ki Baat’. The programme is being broadcast by the All India Radio (AIR) and Doordarshan. People can also give a missed call on the number 1922 and can hear ‘Mann ki Baat’ on their mobiles. Apart from Hindi, the ‘Mann Ki Baat’ series is available in 20 other languages.

Addressing nation, PM Modi appealed people to start a new campaign ‘Swachhata Hi Seva’ on October 02. He urged people to go nearby localities and spread the message of cleanliness. “Let us create a mass movement around this in the run up to Gandhi Jayanti and give renewed focus to cleanliness,” said the Prime Minister.

PM also greeted sports enthusiasts on National Sports Day and called for increased participation in sporting activities.

Urging young Indians to participate in sports, PM Modi said that the Sports Ministry will launch ‘Sports Talent Search Portal’ tomorrow.

“I had the opportunity to meet some young daughters, some of who were born in Himalayas, who had no connection with the sea. Six of these daughters are in Navy. They are an inspiration for all of us.”

Talking about festivals, PM said that he wants to bring in Micchami Dukkadam which is about forgiveness and compassion.

Referring to William Shakespeare’s famous play Merchant of Venice, PM Modi said that the forgiver and forgiven both stand to receive divine blessings.

PM Modi also wished countrymen on the occasion of Eid-Al-Adha

“Those who take the law in their hands or take to violence will not be spared, whoever they are,” warned PM Modi

The Prime Minister is also expected to speak on devastating floods in Bihar and Assam. He might raise the issue of violence in Haryana and Punjab which took place after Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh was found guilty of rape.

PM Modi is likely to touch upon issues related to sports, especially 2020 Olympics in Tokyo, Sports Day and Bharat Indigenous Games.
