Police had received intelligence that yesterday the attack on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway was underway, after which the operation of the security forces in the area had been intensified. Police had got information that Lashkar-e-Taiba was plotting to carry out any major incident on the highway.
After this, last night the security forces had received information that Umar and a local commander of the LeT along with Yusuf Lalhar could join the conspiracy of this incident. After that the search operation was conducted. Omar was killed in the encounter but two terrorists managed to escape. Currently the search operation is being conducted in the area.
Let’s say that this year, the security forces have so far killed 124 terrorists. In the Valley, 37 soldiers of the security forces have been martyred. This year Pakistan has violated the cesfire 251 times. Intrusion has been done in the valley more than 125 times this year.
