The government has earned more than expected in the month before the introduction of GST and service tax. Only from 64 percent of the registered taxpayers have earned the government Rs 92 thousand 283 crore. GST has been implemented from July 1, 2017.

A month after the implementation of GST (Goods and Services Tax), the government succeeded in recovering more revenue from its targets. Giving information about this, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley said, “In July, the government has recovered Rs 92,283 from GST in the form of revenues”.



He further said, “Government has given CGST (Central GST) Rs 14,894 crore, SGST (State GST) Rs 22,722 crore At the same time, IGST (Integrated GST) recovered as Rs 47,469 crore. The last date for first filing under GST was August 25. Our target was to recover Rs 91,000 crore, which we easily achieved ‘.

In this episode, the Finance Minister informed about taxpayers that until August, there were 59.57 lakh registered taxpayers. Out of these, only 38.3 lakh paid the tax. For this reason, the GPL’s compilation rate was 64.42 percent.

More than 72 lakh people have been registered till August 29, if they talk about the latest number of those who register. This time, 18.83 lakh of those who have made the registration are those traders who have come under the purview of the tax system for the first time. In technical terms, these are new registered taxpayers.
