Goa Chief Minister Parrikar launches FIFA U-17 football World Cup Goa logo

Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar on Friday launched a Goa logo from one of the host countries of the FIFA U-17 World Cup to be hosted by India at the GMC stadium. FIFA U-17 World will be played in India from October 6 to 28. The people of Goa include football players playing in green fields in the evening near the beach.

On this occasion, the Chief Minister said, ” Goa is fully prepared to welcome the Under-17 World Cup teams, Goa is in love with soccer and therefore we have declared it the official game of the state. The decision to host is one of the fastest decisions taken by the state government and we will continue to give our support to make this World Cup a success. ”




Javier Seppi , tournament director said, “We are happy with the fact that Goa now has a symbol associated with the tournament. The state government has promised us that the people will be in the entire state. And will take a big promotion program for the tournament, which is fantastic. ”

World Cup matches will be played at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Fartoda, Goa. This stadium will host nine World Cup matches, including matches from Brazil and Germany.
