Finance Ministry says Govt not mulling to introduce 1000 rupee note again

New Delhi: Will the 1,000 rupee note be returned? Many people are expecting this note to come back, but today the Finance Ministry has given up on these expectations. The Ministry of Finance today completely rejected the possibility of bringing the note of 1000 rupees again. Only a few days after issuing a note of 200 rupees, the prospect of bringing the 1000 notes back from the Finance Ministry has been abolished.

Economic Affairs Secretary Subhash Chandra Garg tweeted, “There is no proposal to bring the notes of 1000 rupees again.” His statement has come in the midst of reports that the government can bring a note of 1000 rupees.

Last year, on November 8, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had announced the closure of 1000 and 500 notes under the ban. Later, new notes of 500 and 2000 rupees were issued.

Last week, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley also said that there is no intention of banning the government’s 2000 note. For many days news was being given in the news that the government is planning to close the notes of 2000.
