Famous songwriter Prasoon Joshi becomes President of the Board of Censor
New Delhi: the famous songwriter,Prasoon Joshi has been made the new chairman of the censor board. Veteran actress Vidya Balan has been appointed as a member of the censor board. he take charges from Prajaj Nihalani. Prajaj Nihalani has been in controversy since the beginning of his tenure. The decision to ban a recently released film ‘Lipstick under my Burka’ by the censor board was also greatly criticized.
Apart from this, many films like ‘urta Punjab’, ‘N Argumentative Indian’ also lost of movies, the sensor board and there was a lot of ruckus about the release of these films. Newly-appointed Sensor Board Chairman Prasoon Joshi also writes songs in Bollywood movies, besides screenwriter and poet. 45 year-old Prasoon has been awarded the National Award twice and the Filmfare Award twice.
The famous song of ‘Taare Zameen Par’, ‘Maa’, is the most popular song of Prasun Joshi.
