China does not want Maldives to be another ‘issue of confrontation’ with india

Beijing: China said on Friday (February 9th) that it is in touch with India to resolve the political upheaval in the Maldives, and Beijing does not want this issue to be another ‘issue of confrontation’.



Among the news related to the preparation of special forces for India, China’s official sources said Beijing is firm on the fact that there should not be any external interference. According to them, China is in touch with India to resolve the issue. Sources here said that China does not want Maldives to be another ‘issue of confrontation’ with india.

in response to several questions related to the Maldives Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Geng Shuang said that the international community respecting Maldives’s sovereignty and independence needed.Earlier, China opposed any kind of UN intervention in Maldives.
