chandigarh: 12 year old girl raped while returning from independence day school event,case filed

Chandigarh: On one side, while the whole country is celebrating Independence, there has been an incident from Chandigarh that is about to embarrass humanity. A case of rape has emerged with a girl returning from school after celebrating Independence Day celebrations in Chandigarh.

The Chandigarh Police has registered a case of rape against a person on the complaint of girl. The girl said in the complaint that she was returning home after celebrating the Independence Day celebrations in her school on Tuesday, and at the time a man raped her.

The police said that the victim’s age is 12-13 years and she has been admitted to a government hospital for medical examination and treatment.

Chandigarh Senior Superintendent of Police Ish Singhal and other police officials have reached the spot. All of them were participating in the Independence Day celebrations at parade grounds in Sector 17. Police officials said that the victim said that when she was passing through the traffic park, the accused pulled her near a drain and raped her .

This incident happened at a time when there is a high alert on Independence Day in Chandigarh. Many government officials remain near the traffic gate of the traffic park.
