bihar inter result :Bihar school board reduces fee for scrutiny of Inter papers

PATNA : Under pressure from agitating Class XII students, the Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) on Tuesday agreed to reduce the fee for scrutiny of each answer sheet from Rs 120 to Rs 70 and conduct compartmental examination from July 3 to 13. Students who have already applied for scrutiny of their answer sheets by paying Rs 120 for each paper will be refunded the additional amount of Rs 50, the board said.
BSEB chairman Anand Kishor said the decision was taken following several requests made by the students and their parents. “Now, students need to pay just Rs 70 for scrutiny of each subject. While those who have already submitted online applications will get the refund in their respective bank accounts, those who paid the amount for scrutiny of their answer sheets by opting offline mode will be refunded through cheques,” Kishor added. The last date to submit scrutiny form is June 12.

Students who have qualified competitive examinations will get priority and their scrutiny forms will be accepted at the special counter at BSEB office. Others can submit their forms online or at the nine regional centres – Patna, Gaya, Bhagalpur, Darbhanga, Muzaffarpur, Purnia, Chhapra, Munger and Saharsa.
The board also announced that compartmental examination will be held between July 3 and July 13. Students who have failed in one or two subjects can apply for this exam from June 8 to June 14. “Students who registered with board, but failed to appear for the examination this year, can also write their papers for all subjects,” Kishor said. In case of students who could not appear in the annual exam, but will write their papers with compartmental candidates, the result will show them as annual candidate.
Meanwhile, the board has also formed a three-member committee, comprising chief vigilance officer Sudhir Kumar, BSEB secretary Anup Kumar Sinha and academic director Akhileshwar K Pandaya, to suggest changes in existing system of conducting practical exams at home centres. Disgraced arts topper Ganesh Kumar had scored 65 out of 70 in music practical exam, as it was conducted at home centre.
