People in Bihar do not see relief from floods. As it is seen in the thirteen districts of Bihar, only water is visible. If the waves have shed the bridge then the roads are sunk in the water. As far as the plains are concerned, the village village has become transformed into the island. So far, 77 people have been reported to be killed, while now the water of flood is going to enters Patna city. All related officers have been alerted for this.




The water level of the Ganges is also increasing steadily. In the Gandhi Ghat of Patna, the Ganges has reached the danger mark. Punpun and other small rivers are already on the boom. After this, District Magistrate Sanjay Kumar Agarwal has issued an alert to all BDOs and COs. The danger mark of Gandhi Ghat is 48.60 meters. On Wednesday evening, Ganga had reached here 48.17 meters. The water level of the river Punupun is also increasing rapidly.

After the review meeting on Wednesday he told that the situation of flood in the district is not serious now. Still need to be ready. All officers have been asked to be available for 24 hours. Engineers of the water resources department of the district have been asked to monitor the water level in the rivers so that time-consuming action is taken on top of the danger mark.

In the flood-affected areas, NDRF’s 22 teams, including 949 jawans and 100 boats, 15 teams of SDRF, 421 jawans and 82 boats, and a total of 300 jawans of four troop soldiers with 40 boats are involved in rescue operations at flood-hit areas.

Three additional troops of the army, which reached last night, have been engaged in flood relief and rescue work in Sitamarhi, Madhubani, West Champaran and Eastern Champaran district. On the directives of the Chief Minister, a team of high officials of the State Government is conducting aerial survey of flood affected areas today. This team includes Principal Secretary, Department of Disaster Management, Principal Secretary of Road Construction Department, Principal Secretary of Rural Work Department, Purnia, Araria, Kishanganj and Katihar districts, District Officer and in-charge Principal Secretary. Based on the air survey, assessment of the situation will be prepared further.

Food content is being distributed in the area affected by Purnea Airport through two Air Force helicopters. An additional helicopter has been acquired for distributing food items in the highly affected area of West Champaran area. This helicopter will start relief work from today.
