A big accident in UP Baghpat, 15 people dead after a boat carrying over 60 people capsized in yamuna river

Baghpat: At least 22 people are reported to have died in the Baghpat district of Uttar Pradesh on Thursday morning after submersing a boat in Yamuna river. However, it has not been confirmed by the district administration.

The district administration said that after the accident, about a dozen people have been taken out safely. There were about 60 passengers in the boat. The police and the administrative officer are on the spot.The rescue work continues. After the incident, local villagers jam the delhi highway due to police and administrative officials reached on spot late.




According to the District Magistrate, the team of police and PAC rescuers has so far removed 22 bodies. While nearly a dozen people have been safely pulled out.
