New Delhi[mithilanchalnews.in]:-The Chief Minister of New Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal, has threatened to go on a hunger strike if the sealing drive against commercial establishments wasn’t resolved. Alleging him of scoring political mileage on the issue, the Confederation of All India Traders or (CAIT) said that it’s a mere ‘political drama’ and that the CM is shedding ‘crocodile tears’.
The CAIT further recommended that Kejriwal should instead work for the traders and get a bill for a moratorium on sealing passed in the forthcoming session of state Assembly and get it approved by Central Government. The industry body also urged Kejriwal to file an affidavit under Supreme Court’s direction to depute a senior counsel.
The sealing drive was undertaken by Municipal Corporations of Delhi under the directions of a committee appointed by Supreme Court in December last year. Meanwhile, on March 13 the traders are slated to hold a Delhi Trade Bandh in support of the CAIT.
