Former Central Reserve Bank (RBI) Governor Raghuram Rajan has said that the Reserve Bank Governor is not a bureaucrat for the central government and it is a mistake of the government to consider it a bureaucrat. Raghuram Rajan has kept this matter in his new book ‘I Do What I Do’ and said that the Central Government needs to improve its position on the post of the Reserve Bank Governor.
According to Rajan, the biggest danger of not having a clear definition of the rights of the Reserve Bank is that the bureaucracy constantly keeps trying to reduce its powers. which has weakened the role of the central bank in the economy.
