Alcohol vendors of Bihar have received great relief from the Supreme Court. Alcohol vendors have given an additional 2 months to clear the stock of liquor stalled in their warehouse, the Supreme Court has extended the last date from May 31 to 31 July. In this case, liquor vendors of Bihar had filed an application in the Supreme Court.
Let us tell you that on March 31, the Supreme Court had allowed liquor makers to remove all liquor stock from Bihar by May 31. On behalf of the liquor companies , it was said that liquorwas found in their warehouses during the liquor baron law . Order the court to give three months’ time to remove these stocks.
On the other hand, it was said on behalf of the Bihar government that the government has passed the proposal on March 30 that till 30th April, companies can take liquor from the warehouse. The Supreme Court had given the companies two months’ time after the hearing and said that the stock would be withdrawn from the warehouse till May 31.
It is noteworthy that Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar had promised the women of the state during the elections that they would impose full prohibition in the state after coming back to power and fulfilling their promise, they would sell all kinds of liquor in Bihar. And had stopped buying.
