The CBI has named former RJD MP and Bahubali Mohammad Shahabuddin as accused in the case of murder of journalist Rajdev Ranjan of Bihar’s Siwan.
Shahabuddin was presence in the presence of Anupam Kumari, Special Judge of the Special Court of CBI, through video conferencing. Later, the court sent former MP Shahabuddin to the CBI for eight days remand for questioning.
CBI has named Shahabuddin the 10th accused in the murder case of journalist Rajdev Ranjan. On the petition of the CBI, the special court had directed Shahabuddin to appear on 22 May through video conferencing.
On the same day, the CBI had also asked Shahabuddin to make an accused in this case. The CBI will file a charge sheet soon against Shahabuddin, lodged in Tihar jail in Delhi.
Shahabuddin, facing trial in more than 45 criminal cases, was sent to the Tihar Jail by the Supreme Court in February this year. The Special Court of CBI has directed Shahabuddin to appear before the court on June 9 again.
