Patna: Bihar’s Nitish government has suffered a major setback in the Patna High Court. The High Court has canceled the order of the Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s removal from the Panchayats of the Nal-Jal and Nalli-Gulhi schemes. Earlier, a division bench of Chief Justice Rajendra Menon had reserved the decision on hearing petitions filed by the mukhiya mahaasangh and others, which was pronounced Wednesday.
According to the information, the state government had ordered to spend 80% of the money given by the 14th Finance Commission in last July-August to spend on these two schemes. At the same time, the Ward Development Committee was formed, which was entrusted with the responsibility of implementing these schemes. The mukhiya sangh reached the court against the decision of the government .
