The historic hearing of today’s three divorces has begun in the Supreme Court. The court said that polygamy and marriage halala will also be reviewed. Mukul Rohatgi demanded it from the court. The court said that the time for hearing on all three cases is very short. The court said that he will still only hear triple divorce. Earlier in the previous hearing, the court had said that polygamy will not be reviewed.
Why can not we eliminate three divorce?
During the hearing, Mukul Rohatgi said that if countries such as Saudi Arabia, Iran, Iraq, Libya, Egypt and Sudan have ended the three divorced law, then why can not we?
Let us tell you that hearing is going on on triple divorce from May 11. On Friday, the Supreme Court had said that we will only review that Divorce-e-Bidta means that three divorces and marriage are an integral part of Islam religion at one go. Three unconstitutional divorce- Jethmalani
During the hearing, senior lawyer Ram Jethmalani also appeared on behalf of a victim of three divorces. He said that Article 14 and 15 of the Constitution give equal rights to all citizens and in their light three divorces are unconstitutional. Jethmalani claimed that he is a student of Islam like the other religions. He told Hazrat Mohammad one of the greatest prophets of God and said that his message is worthy of praise.
At the previous hearing, Jethmalani had said, ‘The Quran says that if you are in search of knowledge then you are on the path of Allah. The ink of the seeker of a knowledge is greater than the blood of a martyr. ‘ In the opinion of Jethmalani, women can not discriminate on the basis of their gender only, and any law deciding in the Supreme Court should not be to promote discrimination.

The debate was initiated by the lawyer of a petitioner Shayar Bano. They said that three divorces are not an integral part of Islam. Most Muslim countries have ended three divorces. In these countries judicial orders are necessary for divorce. Divorce can not be one-sided
Three Divorce – Non-Islamic
On behalf of the Muslim Women’s Movement, Zakia Soman’s lawyer Anand Grover debated. He cited the decisions of the Delhi High Court and the Guwahati High Court and said that in both the decisions three divorces were declared non-Islamic. He also said that the provision of three divorces is actually a law made by the British which is considered to be a crime in Islam.
