In this forum, the heads of 29 countries and governments and representatives from more than 100 countries and international organizations took part.
In the forum, Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Sri Lanka’s Prime Minister Ranil Wickramasinghe, Russian President Vladimir Putin and Turkish President Rajab Tayyib Erdouan also participated. The United States sent a delegation headed by Matt Puttinger, Senior Director for the President of the President’s Special Assistant and National Security Council.
Other delegations include officials, businessmen and financiers from 130 countries. Apart from this, representatives from various major international organizations including United Nations Secretary General Antonio Gatorase, World Bank President Jim Yong Kim and International Monetary Fund director Christine Pastard also participated in the Forum.

Apart from this, $ 8.75 billion of financial assistance will be given to countries participating in the ‘Belt and Road’ initiative, which aims to expand China’s influence and global connectivity.
In his speech, Chinfing said that ‘Belt and Road’ initiative is focused on Asian, European and African countries, but it is also for other countries. She said that China will set up 50 joint laboratories to increase cooperation on innovation with countries participating in ‘Belt and Road’ initiative. He said that besides this, China Financial Institutions will encourage RMB funds to do business in other countries with an estimated $ 44 billion in the estimated amount.
The proposal for ‘Belt and Road’ initiative based on the historical silk road was given to Shei in 2013 to prepare new lands for international cooperation.
