new delhi:The Constitutional Bench of the Supreme Court has started hearing the issue of constitutional validity of triple divorce from today and on this issue, Union Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad has said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government is standing with all those Muslim women. Who are the victims of triple divorce.
Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad, , said that the issue of triple divorce is not only related to any religion or community, but it is related to respect, equality and justice of women.
Ravi Shankar Prasad raised the question that when 20 Islamic countries are banned by the whole world in triple divorce, then why is Triple divorce is now being recognized in India?
Law Minister also targeted the women leaders of the country who have so far made silence on the issue of triple divorce. Ravishankar questioned why Congress President Sonia Gandhi, Bahujan Samajwadi Party chief Mayawati, Trinamool Congress chief Mamta Banerjee and Priyanka Gandhi are still silent on the issue of triple divorce. Ravi Shankar also targeted Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Rashtriya Janata Dal supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav and questioned his silence.
Speaking on Pakistan’s issue of infringement of the cesfire on the Line of Control, Ravi Shankar Prasad said that the army chief has said that the army is continuously responding to Pakistan and will continue to respond strongly in the days to come.
