Patna: The state employees will get the seventh pay scale after the effect of 1 January 2017. On the issue of pay scales, the commission set up under the chairmanship of former Chief Secretary GS Kang will submit its report next week. On Saturdays on Saturday, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, in Anne Marg, held a two-hour meeting with Finance Minister Abdul Bari Siddiqui and the Chairman of the Pay Commission on the issue of new pay scales. During this time, all the parties involved in giving new pay scales were discussed.
There are 20 types of pay scale from class IV employees in the state. Many of these papers are not discussed in the seventh pay scale. For this reason, the government formed the Pay Commission in December last year. The expansion of the two-month period expired on the commission will end on May 31. After the meeting, the Chairman of the Pay Commission, Kang said that we have given the full details of the work done to the Chief Minister till now. Our work is almost done.

5000 crores additional burden to be paid
A total of 5,78,207 posts of various services are approved in the State. Of these, 1,39,406 posts are vacant. Even after giving the seventh pay scale, the burden on the public exchequer will be reduced due to these vacant posts. In the current financial year, the government is spending Rs 18,000 crore on salaries and Rs 8,178 crore on pension expenditure. After the new pay scale, the burden of Rs 5,000 crore will increase annually on the treasure.
