India will play in the Champions Trophy, on Monday the team will be selected

new delhi:After a long deadlock, it has been decided that the Indian team will play in the Champions Trophy. Team India will be announced on Monday for this. Virat Kohli will join the team selection meeting via video conferencing. The last date for sending Team India’s 15 name to the ICC for the Champions Trophy was April 25. Except India, seven other countries have sent their team to the ICC. The reason for this is the tension that has been going on between the BCCI and the ICC for a long time.

The BCCI also threatened the ICC that if the ICC does not take into consideration the interests of India, then it can withdraw from the Champions Trophy. The ICC Champions Trophy, the second-largest tournament of the ICC, will be held in England from June 1. India’s first match is from Pakistan on June 4.
COA had asked BCCI to select a team soon
The BCCI standing on the road of collision with the ICC had suffered a major setback when the Comptroller’s Organizing Committee (COA), set up by the Supreme Court, had issued instructions to speed up the team’s announcement for the Champions Trophy. The COA did an e-mail to the BCCI regarding SGM and team selection. The COA asked the BCCI that the SGM meeting on revenue matters is to be held on May 7, but why should they wait so much for the team selection?

    Big three formulas
In fact, there was a debate over the Big Three formula between the BCCI and the ICC. There were discussions and talks between the officials of the two boards on this issue, but no conclusions were found. Under the ‘Big Three’ formula India, Australia and England get a large share of the ICC revenue. One third members are required to support this model. ICC President Shashank Manohar had been saying before the BCCI that do not go for the middle path, the result may be like 1-9. 1-9 means that 9 of the top 10 boards of cricket will become one against the Indian Board and that is exactly what happened.

    Made this issue by ICC
According to the new rules, the ICC has decided to limit its official strength along with India’s share in any ICC tournament earnings. For this reason, the BCCI was looking to get away from the Champions Trophy from June 1 to 18. The BCCI did not even make the team selection for the Champions Trophy after the dead line had gone out.
