new delhi: For the past few weeks, there has been a huge increase in the application being made to improve the name entered in PAN Card (Permanent Account Number). This is because the Central Government has ordered all the PAN card holders to link their PAN card with the aadhar card till 1 July 2017. Therefore, people are facing problems in linking the base to PanCard, who are scared of spelling their names.
Check your pancard
Notice, if you use multiple spellings of your name, then it is possible that the spelling given on your name in your pancard does not match the spelling given in your base card. In such a situation, you will have difficulty linking the PAN card and the adhar card . It is also possible that in your bank account your spelling of your name has been given and some other on your basis. In such a situation, you may have to face difficulty in linking your PAN card and base.
if information is Wrong then required to reform
There should be your Deetel match given in the PAN card, Aadhar card and bank account. If it is not so, you can apply to make changes to your PAN card or Aadhaar card. You can also apply this application through the link on the website of the Income Tax Department. At the same time, if you have to improve the base, then UID can give your application with the necessary documents. You can do this work online too.
If you are an NRI, you will be exempt from the Aadhar card
According to the Income Tax rule, the NRIs will not be banned from the time of filing tax returns in the country.
If not the Aadhar card-pan card linking?
If you do not complete the work of linking your Aadhar card and PAN card by July 1, then your PAN card can be rejicted. In such a situation, you can not fill your income tax returns in the current financial year, because both the pancard and base have been compulsory for filing tax returns. At present, there are more than 24.37 crores pancard in the country and the base card of more than 113 crores has been made. Of these, only 2.87 crore people submitted tax returns during 2012-13. 1.62 crore people filtered a tax return in these 2.87 crore people, but did not pay even a single rupee tax. That’s because a large number of people steal taxes or avoid tax. So, to increase the tax collection in the country, the Income Tax Department has made linking mandatory from the basis for filing returns. After this linking it will be easy to stop tax evasion.
