Voting ends for MCD election, upto 4 pm only 43 per cent of voting

    new delhi:Polls for 270 wards of Delhi Municipal Corporation elections have ended. In the morning when the voting started, the crowd of voters was not present at polling stations. It felt like picking up the day will catch the momentum in the voting. But due to sluggish voting, only 24 percent voting was recorded till 12 noon, and then at around 2 pm, the figure reached only 34 percent. While 43 percent voting was done till 4 pm. However, the final figures are still awaiting.

    In this election, the challenge of Congress and AAP is in front of the ruling BJP in a tri-contest. A total of 13141 polling stations were voted on. There are 799 sensitive and 208 susceptible polling centers. Voting has been postponed due to the death of candidates in Sarai Peepal Thala and Muzapur Ward.
