mumbai: The release of Rajinikanth-Akshay Kumar starrer film ‘2.0’ has been postponed. Earlier this film was going to be released in Diwali this year but now the makers of the movie have extended its release date.
Now the film will be released on January 25 next year. Film Critique Taran Adarsh tweeted this information.

the reason behind the release date extended of the film is to move the VFX to the world class level in the film. Movie makers want more work on the film’s special effects. The film’s VFX Supervisor is Srinivas Mohan, who also worked with SS Rajamouli in ‘Bahubali: The Beginning’.
Rajinikanth’s ‘2.0’ may be the first ‘Make in India’ film
The whole shooting of ‘2.0’ has happened in India. This is the 160th film of Rajinikanth. Prior to this, Rajinikanth had appeared in ‘Kabbali’ in 2016. Amy Jackson will also be seen in the film. Rajinikanth’s next film is with Pa Pa Ranjeet, director of Kabali, in which he will be seen in the role of Haji Mastan. Shooting of the film will begin in May next year.
