NEW DELHI:The price of petrol and diesel has been increased from Saturday night. This time the price of petrol has been increased by Rs 1.39 and the price of diesel has been increased by Rs 1.04 per liter. The Indian Oil Corporation, India’s largest oil firm, has informed about this. Earlier, from April 1, petrol was cheaper by Rs 3.77 and diesel 2.91 rupees.
Petrol and diesel prices have been increased at the domestic level due to expensive petroleum items at international level. In the past, oil companies sent a proposal to the government for daily change in the price of petrol and diesel. Oil companies are going to make daily changes in petrol and diesel prices in five cities in the country as a pilot project from May 1. If this trial is successful, then it will be implemented in the whole country.
Indian Oil Corporation, India’s largest oil firm, said that the price of petrol is being increased by Rs 1.39 a liter and diesel at the rate of 1.04 per liter. This price will apply from Saturday night. Apart from this, the state levy will also be imposed, after which it will know its actual growth. The company said that on the basis of reduction or expansion of petroleum prices at international level, their prices will be further revised.
