PATNA: After applying the prohibition of liquor in Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is now going to hit hard on issues like child marriage and dowry practice. On the occasion of the 126th birth anniversary of the creator of the Constitution, Baba Bhimrao Ambedkar, Nitish appealed to the people to eliminate the evils of society like child marriage and dowry practice. He told the people to boycott such weddings from the front, where there is a dowry is taken.
Describing the dowry system as a curse, Nitish Kumar told the people that before going to any marriage they should know that if there is a dowry is taken in that marriage, and if it has happened, then in such weddings Do not go. Nitish said that doing so would help in improving the society effectively.
The Chief Minister also expressed concern over child marriage and said that the problem of child marriage is directly related to malnutrition and their government will insist on this issue in the days to come. Nitish said that his government will soon launch a comprehensive campaign of child marriage and dowry and will be alerted to these two evils of the society.
