Patna: Before the GST law is enforced across the country since July 1, 2017, this bill has to be passed in all the legislatures of the country. In this order, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has asked Vidhan Sabha Speaker Vijay Kumar Chaudhary to convene a special session of Bihar Assembly on April 24.
In this one-day special session, this bill will be discussed in Bihar Legislative Assembly and Legislative Council and it will be passed unanimously. Which could be implemented from July 1 onwards throughout the country.
In this regard, Nitish Kumar has written a letter to the speaker and speaker of the Vidhan Parishad and urged him to call for a special session of 1 day. According to Assembly secretary Ram Excellent Rai, all members of Legislative Council of Vidhan Parishad will discuss the same day and after that the Chief Minister will answer himself.
It is worth noting that the GST bill has been passed unanimously in both the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha at the center last week, and the GST bill, which is seen as the country’s biggest tax reform, will be implemented in the country from July 1.
