RJD MP from Araria and ex state home minister Mohammed Tasleemuddin died in chennai
Chennai / Patna: Mohammed Taslimuddin, who was the home minister of Lok Sabha MP from Araria, Bihar and senior leader of RJD and HD Deve Gowda Sarkar, died in Chennai. Taslimuddin was 74 years old. His family has three sons and two daughters.
Taslimuddin was running ill for a long time and was admitted to Apollo Hospital in Chennai, where he dead today during treatment.
A five-time MP and eight-time legislator Taslimuddin has also been a Cabinet Minister in Rabri Devi’s government in Bihar. His son Sarfraz Ahmed is currently a JDU MLA.
Taslimuddin had a strong hold in the Seemanchal area of Bihar and his supporters and devotees used to call him Simanchal’s Gandhi. Who was Taslimuddin?
The biggest thing of Taslimuddin is that he started his political journey with Sarpanch and took over the responsibilities of an important ministry like Home Minister. Became Sarpanch in 1959, became head of the party in 1964. Elected MLA eight times between 1969-89, 1995-96 and 2002-2004.
Elected MP for the first time in 1989 In June-July 1996, he was the Minister of State for the Union Home for nearly a month. Between 2000-2004 Rabri Devi was the cabinet minister in the government.
