BCCI Announced Fresh Contracts; Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan Among Highest Paid

New delhi[mithilanchalnews]:Fresh annual contracts for Oct’2017 to Sep’2018 have been announced with the introduction of A+ category for the top players. The A+ Category is introduced for players who are playing all three formats of cricket while also considering their ICC rankings in the selection process. Besides Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan, Jasprit Bumrah and Bhuvneshwar Kumar made it to the top pay tier of Rs. 7 crore each.



Kohli was earlier under the 2 crore pay bracket while Bumrah, Rohit and Bhuvneshwar were receiving 1 crore under the Grade B tier and Dhawan jumped up a hike of 1300% from a previous Rs. 50 lac under Grade C. Former captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni, even while retaining his earlier Category A pay tier and receiving a hike from an earlier Rs. 2 crore to current Rs. 5 crore, slid down in the order.

While all Grade A players are to receive Rs. 5 crores each, Grade B and Grade C players will now receive Rs. 2 crore and Rs. 1 crore respectively.
