India has won the third consecutive win in the 10th Asia Cup hockey tournament. On Sunday, the Indian team beat their opponent Pakistan 3-1. Earlier in the tournament in Dhaka, India defeated Japan 5-1 and Bangladesh 7-0. The top team, with 9 points in Group A, has reached the Super Four stage.
With 4 points, Pakistan team will also play in the second round. In the history of Asia Cup, India has won just one win over Pakistan. Earlier, India had defeated Pakistan 4-2 in the 2003 Asia Cup final. In the Asia Cup, Pakistan has defeated India 5 times out of 7. This is the sixth consecutive win for India in Pakistan in International Hockey .

In the first quarter, we got to see fast hockey. Although both teams could not open the account of the goal. During this time India has shown an effective game. Although Pakistan got a penalty corner in the last minute, but he could not take advantage of it. India got an edge in the beginning of the second quarter. Chinglensana Singh scored the first goal in the 17th minute. Pakistan also showed good play in this quarter, but its penalty corner was useless. Goalkeeper Suraj Karra has done many good defenses. India’s 1-0 lead continued till half time.
In the third quarter, the Pakistani team played with 9 players for five minutes. His two players Rizwan Sr. and Abu Mahmud got yellow cards. During this time Pakistan lost the chance of equalizing. While India also missed the penalty corner goal. This quarter has managed to usurp the Pakistan penalty connor to India. In the 44th minute, Ramandeep Singh made India 2-0 ahead. After this, Harmanpreet Singh converted the penalty corner into the goal in the 45th minute to give India a 3-0 lead.

Due to lack of carefulness of India’s defense, Pakistan made the first goal. Ali Shan scored the goal in the 49th minute. In this quarter, Pakistan started a very aggressive start, though its penalty corner was gone. India got three penalty corners in the last moments of the game, but he could not take advantage of it. India’s 3-1 lead proved decisive. India got five penalty corners in this match, out of which only one could convert. While Pak achieved 4 penalty corners, but all went waste.
