During his visit to Myanmar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived at Schwegagon Pegoda on Thursday. Here he planted a Bodhi tree. Here he met the people of the Indian community.
Former prime minister Manmohan Singh also went to the dargah of Bahadur Shah Zafar in 2012.
The last Mughal emperor, Bahadur Shah Zafar, was killed in 1862 in a jail of Rangoon (now Yangon) in the then capital of Burma (now Myanmar), but his dargah was built in 1994 after 132 years.
